I don’t know why it gets knocked. Is it Optimator or Salvator? No. But it’s not a bad bock. The aroma is very pleasing and the taste is smooth and satisfying. Capa (993), Yokosuka, Japan
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 7, 2007 Pours caramel brown with minimal head. Aroma is malt and sweet metallic. Flavor is lacking. Sorta sweet malts, fruit, and that metallic thing pops up again. Has a bit of a bitter finish. Thin, highly carbonated body. Dissapointing. michael-pollack (2729), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Smelling this beer gives me a headache. Poured brown in color with a hint of amber. Medium off-white head diminished quickly but lasted throughout. No lacing. Clear. Very sparkling. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes malty and salty. Very unbalanced toward malts. Light body. Thin, watery texture. Lively carbonation. Long malty finish. Overall, this is crap. At least THAT is non offensive. Why does this shit have a following.? Smells like bad malt and old spaghetti in a pot. Taste is slightly sour ,watery crap. Worse than most macro swills. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 23, 2007 Pours copper w/ a shallow spritzy froth. Minimal hang time w/ faint residual lacing. Aromas of sweet malt and beer. Light to medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Very brisk w/ crisp malts. A mild sweetness is detected and is very light on the palate. Theres a slight tartness and very mildly roasted. The finish is crisp w/ an acidic bittering component. Not very flavorfull. flops98 (9), becker, Minnesota, USA does not count | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 19, 2007 I like this beer but I was not blown away with taste...A nice appearance led me to get my hopes up but I was let down by the tase. very bla....it is better than bud, mich, or any other watered down brews...
