| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 12, 2009 Not much to talk about. Pours little to no head, light brown. Nose and taste very muted making it highly drinkable. Taste has mild sweet chocolate notes, not creamy but could improve hugely if it had some. Very thin but not terribly watery. This is a great standby at bars in TX when nothing else is available as it easily beats domestic extract lagers. Bigmmartin (380), Dayton, Ohio, USA

But it’s drinkable and the taste doesn’t completely offend me. What more can you ask for in a macro beer. Ryan82SM (278), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Aroma has some toasted nuts and malt. Appearance is more reddish brown, not too dark with light head. Flavor consists of light malts, and a little caramel when I burped. Palate is somewhat creamy. Boring, tastes pretty similar to Amber Bock. DarkSong (115), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a golden brown reddish color with a small off white quickly vanishing head. It has a pleasant roasted quality and has a nut taste to it and a hint of toffee. This is a fairly high quality beer in my opinion. Rciesla (3910), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 29, 2009 Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Dried fruit and caramel thin and sweet with a light nutty character, sub par. FarFromHome (85), Philadelphia, Alabama, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jun 27, 2009 Medium head, medium color, medium aroma. All around a solid, drinkable beer, but nothing that leaps out as unique. Which, of course, is in and of itself unique. I’ve had better, but you better believe I’ve had worse. Wouldn’t mind having one in the future. Like Yuengling, but minus the acorns. BeerBlockaid (548), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 27, 2009 Well, had to raid me brothers stash as I am all out. Have been on this Sierra Nevada Torppedo run for a while. Love that stuff. Well, found a 6er of this. Didn’t bother getting a glass out. Pour a bit in the sink and gives a clear amber colour. Nose is slightly grassy with malts and some caramel....and something else. Maybe some candied nuts. Taste is spritzy and almost root beer like fusion of Budweiser. Some caramel and malts in here. Really it’s about as off putting as the wood paneling in the photo. More of a candied "meh." Wouldn’t mind sneaking in and switch out a phot shop alteration of the label, replacing the "B" in "Bock" with a "C." dalek123 (103), Houston, Texas, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 27, 2009 On draft at Kemah boardwalk. Dark amber with not much head. Taste is mildly bitter, with a hint of malt, overall bland. Decent, but not much character, no need to sample again.
