12 ounce bottle- poured out a caramel-amber with very little in the way of a head. Aroma was bitter, even harsh, fortunately the bitterness didn’t carry through to the taste. It was crisp, clean and malty without any bitter flavors. This is one of those beers more easily defined as what it is NOT than by what it is. Not much taste and no more mouth feel than water. Only average.

Comes out of the tap a clear, appetizing mahogany, not much head. Aroma is malty with a fruity undertone - apple or pear. Flavor is mainly malty with a hint of fruit and touches of sweetness, hops, and nutty taste. Texture is smooth and fizzy like cola.

Bottle at the new Keg’s restaurant. For a name like that, they have a very poor variety of beers available. Not like the Yardhouse in Palm Beach Gardens where they have over 50 beers on tap. Anyway, I’m fairly certain that I was given a dirty glass to drink out of, because all I could smell or taste from this beer was dirty dish towel. Despite that offensiveness, this beer had little to no flavor at all, I caught hints of malts, but that was my tongue straining to taste ANYTHING over the dirty glass. Thin body and medium carbonation. Overall, regardless of the dirty glasses we were given, I’ll still avoid this beer in the future due to the watery mouthfeel and utter lack of flavor.

12 fl. oz. bottle, in the Houston tent at the ONS 2008, Stavanger. Brown colour, moderate creamy head. Moderate but pleasant aroma of malts, hints of caramel. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately malty and bready without any offensive sidenotes, but not exciting either.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown color with a thin tan head that fades away fast. Taste is of malt and caramel. Kind of thin, but it is still a very drinkable and enjoyable beer. I think it would be better if it had a slightly higher alcohol percentage to it. Aroma is the same, but not as profound or noticeable. Though, it is not bad for the price, I’d rather go with another beer.

Mass produced, classic Bock flavor. Brown pour with a hint toward red. Thin head quickly disappears. Nice smooth mouth feel and mild aftertaste. One of the most popular bar and restaurant beers available in the Houston, TX area.
