Not as strong as expected, but thats the beer market these days. taste great from the tap though, and just about the best i can get when i go out to dinner. kumite56 (461), Cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 11, 2006 Not a bad beer from shiner. THis beer poors a nice mahogany, clear beer witha significant tan head. Mod lacing present. Aroma is malty, caramel . Flavor is initially sweet, some balancing bitterniess in the finish and has a significant tast of candy sugar (slight metalic taste as well). Palte is medium bodied and decent. 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Dec 22, 2005 Thanks John? The beer pours to a reddish-brown body with a thick, lasting creamy beige head. Leaves excellent lacing. The aroma is very sweet and bready. There’s also some strange artificial nut or perhaps it’s just poorly made (in terms of aroma). The flavor is malty with a light chalkyness and cardboard like quality. This is not very good. The palate is chalky and dry and metallic. I could do without this one. Drain pour. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2005 Pour is a deep, dark red with a small white head. Aroma is like a toffe with some hops in there. Flavor is malty and the hops show up here as well. Still nothing to get excitied about. Bland in the end.
