Nice deep color. A nice balance between the lightness of a wheat brew with a deep maltiness. Mouthfeel/palate experience alone warrants giving this beer a try. lagerguzzler (5), Saginaw, Texas, USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 29, 2006 I always look forward to this winter seasonal form the Little Brewery in Shiner. I been a fan of this beer since the days of it’s original name Shiner Winter Fest. Nice malty feel and taste with a slight cocoa finish. llcooldave (339), San Antonio, Texas, USA

Aroma is a dried fruit (raisin/prune) with hints of spice (clove/nutmeg). Light roasted nutty malt flavor. Overall... a really nice winter brew. I’m hooked. GiddyBoy (109), USA

It has a very full flavor. It has good bite and aroma. Matter of fact, I swear I smelled a hint of chocolate. It is nice and dark, with decent head. Shiner should put this out year round. It is much better than their Bock.I plan on getting more before the winter fades. Vikingbeau (67), Albertville, Minnesota, USA

Haven't had a Winter Ale in a few months but it was a refreshing change from the brew I have been drinking lately. She is dark in complection and leaves some trace of head. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
