Commercial Description:
Shiner Hefeweizen (Hef-ay-vite-zen) is a classic unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat brew. Once poured into a glass, the distinctively cloudy Shiner Hefeweizen delivers a fresh, satisfying flavor from start to finish.

Hazy yellow in the glass. Wheat and a touch of citrus on the palate. Ok, but there are better wheat beers out there.

Pours hazy yellow with white head. Nose reminds of tart candies, citrus candies. Palate has a wild sweet/sour orange taste, zesty high carbonation, and finishes tart/sour. After inspection, it is now clear that they add stuff to this beer. It’s not a traditional Bavarian example. Gimmicky and deceptive.

Refigerated bottle poured into a glass. Ok carbonation, yellow and hazy, and ok head. Sour tasting wheat with a dry finish. Taste is below average for the style. Will not purchase again.

Poured from bottle. Nice foamy head came right over the edge of the glass. Cloudy, yellowish amber. Slight hints of clove on the nose.

Pours cloudy dark golden color with white head. Aromas of wheat and citrus. Sour lemon flavor with some wheat. It doesn’t have the usual spices associated with hefeweizens. Light to medium body with mild carbonation.

Pours a hazy pale gold with a huge white head. Nose is citrus, hops and yeasty bread. Mouthfeel is very creamy. Taste is a little yeasty, a little sour with other indistinguishable flavors with nothing else really standing out. Dry finish, not overly hoppy. Pairs well with chicken, salmon or other light meat dishes.

Thanks cavie. Pours a soft hazy peach skin color with a two finger creamy offwhite head. The nose is fruity, banana upfront, light malty sweetness, some peach. Flavor has mild corn, grain astringency, some sweetness, crisp grassy hop bitterness, honey. Crisp mouthfeel.

Murky brownish ripe orange color with a white pillow head that created a white ring that hung around. Faint aroma that hides a hint of grass and citrus. Simple light mouthfeel with a slight melted butter finish.
