Aroma has hint of citrus and hops. Flavor is extremely muted, tastes a lot like a watered down American light beer.

On draft; poured a strange darkish gold; not much head. Not much aroma; some wheat/citrus/coriander. Flavor was similar; seemed a bit restrained/watery/filtered. Not bad, but a below average version of the style for me.

Orange yellow color and cloudy. Aroma of orange and spice. Some spicey flavor-not much banana at all...citrus and some yeastiness. A little watered down and too spritzy. Seems unbalanced towards the citrusy and spicey end and not enough banana, cloves that I associate with good Hefes Ehhh.

12oz bottle: Even after swirling the yeast into the glass, this beer still remains fairly clear with a skim thin head on top. The aroma is slightly wheaty with a lemon tartness on top. The tartness continues in the body, which makes me think this has gone a bit wild. The carbonation is spritzy, ruining what creamy wheat might be there. The malts are blah throughout, offering little to the lemony overtones. Even though this is drinkable, it is a very poor example of the style.

gold murky pour with a thin layer of fizz up top. coriander and citrus notes. flavor is not much different than the smell besides the clove. not bad for a summer beer that’s easy to drink.

Pours cloudy deep golden with no head really. Theres nasty runny sediment thats pinkish orange. The aroma is light and sweet and fruity. The flavor is gross, sharp spritzy and tastes like a cheap leftover ingredient mass produced hefeweizen. It’s hard to get down and finish. I wonder if shiner even makes this beer or if it’s contracted out to someone else. Re-rate 1-year later: A cloudy yellow beer with a perfect super froth head. Aroma of wheat malt and citrus/lemon. Flavor is mild wheat malt, not very sweet, spritzy and a bit thick for a hefe. Finish is a little metallic. Very slight banana flavor, light lacing.

When this beer first came out, it tasted great! It was a very good wheat beer, very clean. But for the past couple of years, every time I drink this, it tastes kind of metalic to me, like the bottle top or something. What was a really great beer has become somewhat lackluster. Bring back my flavor!
