Shiner Hefeweizen (Hef-ay-vite-zen) is a classic unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat brew. Once poured into a glass, the distinctively cloudy Shiner Hefeweizen delivers a fresh, satisfying flavor from start to finish.

Hefe isn’t my favorite style but I do like a well made one. This isn’t a well made one. I don’t like something in the taste ... this is brewed with honey? Maybe its that.

Pours yellowish. Smells odd. Overpowering taste. Wouldn’t buy but also wouldn’t turn one down if offered.

Bottle. Pours incredibly cloudy gold. Aroma is of wet wheat (not good). Tastes as a Hefeweizen should, but with too much citrus added.

Pours yellow with no head. This beer smells off to me. Flavor is sour: something like the juice from a jar of green olives. Same taste is in the mouth. I’ve tasted this flavor before and I don’t like it. This place has some quality control issues. I took about 2 swigs and dumped the bottle. I’ll save the rest of the sixer for my golf buddies who don’t know any better. So much for Lance Armstrongs favorite brewery.

12oz Bottle - Gravity Room - Olympia, WA
Aroma – Deep with wheat and malt aroma
Appearance – Light golden brown, hazy thin head beer
Flavor – A deep malty wheat flavor with some nice sublt flavors of hops.
Palate – A easy to drink and taste beer. Very light in flavor and had a sweet finish
Overall –This was a light hefe and easy to drink this is a beginner beer.

Tasted 10/15/07. 12oz bottle. Hazy golden hue. Spiraling white head. Wheaty cereal nose. Light to medium bodied with nice crispness. Tart citrus notes. Fruity notes. Berries and citrus fruit. Tart sour yeasty flavor. Tingling. Sticky syrupy 7Up-ness citrus and effervescence.

Bottle. Golden pour, thin head, light aroma. Taste like tart citrus, very overpowering. A little harsh and not a good hefe.
