The head is way too thin for a what. The aroma and taste have a sourness that if it were to come out of my carboy, I might pour it down the drain. Tastes like a wheat with an infection. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 7, 2007 On Tap: It looks like a hefeweizen should, maybe a little darker. Slight haze, minimal head (a small ring around hte edge). Citrusy wheat and grasses are faint but the only three smells I can disscern. The flavor is the same as the aromas, and also on the weak side of things. Slightly more bite that I was expecting from a hefe. pintocb (511), Darsville, Georgia, USA

Smells wheaty and has some clove and banana bread in the nose. The beer is light bodied and well balanced. Not the best wheat, but not bad. Aroma of banana and citrus? Pour was a cloudy and bubbly orange with a nice puffy 2 finger head. Taste was tangy and wheaty. Nice sourness I wasn’t expecting. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jun 27, 2007 The aroma is very bad and the grapefruit like tart flavor follows. Tangy sour chucks of yeast coagulate this concoction until you look at the glass and ask yourself, "what am I heck am I drinking"? The beer has a decen t head and decent lacing but I just can’t get past the wheaty aroma of the beer, which then permeates my taste buds, whihc are crying for a relief from a smooth stout! | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2007 Not THAT bad; it’s a bit flat for the style, the flavors are subtle and a bit underdeveloped, but it hints at some nice complex flavors. Enjoyable. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 13, 2007 12oz bottle. Aroma: Wheat and pepper, yeast and a slight citrus note. Appearance: Medium gold in color and cloudy. White head was huge and foamy with good retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: Light and grainy malt, peppery spiciness, some mild lemon flavor and yeast. The wheat sourness in this beer just overpowers everything else. A slight medicinal flavor in the finish. Palate: Medium-light bodied and watery. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: Not a terrible beer, but one I’ll never seek out again. Flavors were muddled and the sourness was just weird. nearbeer (1842), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Bottle. Pours the typical cloudy gold, a little darker than some. Nice creamy head that lasts and gives good lace. Aroma is bitter, acidic yeast with some citrus and white bread. Flavor is dry bitter yeast and citrus on the front, with more wheat and sweeter citrus notes in the finish. Palate is dry-bitter and still somehow smooth. This is just another average American wheat; palate and appearance are the only above average marks. I gotta remember to stick to the German or Belgian style wheats and everything will be just fine.
