May 15, 2007 Poured dirty blondish. Maybe unfair to rate appearance that low since I haven’t had to many of this kind, however doesn’t look refreshing. The taste on the otherhand was refreshing, very good summer ale with the lemon hints. This will be a repeat through the summer months out onthe patio relaxing with Franki. thanks to a member of the 700 club (soon to be) for the hook-up

May 14, 2007 5/14/07: Bottle.
Bright golden cloudy body with a white head. Nose of summer wheat and grass. Flavor is yeastie and breadie with tones of lemon and orange peel. Very smooth finish with some added bread. Yeast was agitated.

May 10, 2007 Rated 12/27/05: Best served in a tall glass with a slice of lemon. Be sure to agitate the yeast. Good all year round with an amazingly clean finish. The awesome bottle label is the icing on the cake 4/18/06 Revisited this review after a recent sampling. I still really enjoy this beer. The citrus notes and overall flavor are different from traditional hefeweizen’s. I like how this one is distinctive and it is a very good American take on a traditional Bavarian style.

May 5, 2007 New to the Chicago area, this Texan Hefe pours a well-hazed, golden/amber with persistent carbonation and sandy particulate under a long-lasting, creamy white head. Some funky oddities in the aroma do not completely dissipate off a grassy, wheaty, lemony base. Creamy mouthfeel with a flavor that is tart and wheat-laden. Aftertaste lingers thick and sour. Gassy. For a "Hefeweizen" I think I’ll stick with the Germans.

May 4, 2007 12 oz bottle. Hazy yellow gold with a white head. Nose is lemony wheat, but with an odd "soapy" smell (best I can describe it). Lightly spiced, a bit of clove, lemony with a touch of grass. Eh. Palatable.

Apr 29, 2007 Below average for the style. Looked good in the glass but that was about it. Weak and watery with no banana,dough or much of anything else except wheat,straw and a bit of citrus.

Apr 29, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy yellow color with nice head. Taste leans towards citrusy. Very smooth and drinkable. I really liked this one.
