The aroma had some lemon peel, banana, and yeast. The flavor also had some lemon elements but not as sharp along with a clove and sweet light malty thing going on which I find a bit odd for the style, although it’s categorized here as an American Wheat rather than a Hefeweizen...which if you taste it it kinda makes sense. The mouthfeel is a bit heavy and strangely rich for a wheat beer, it seems it could’ve done well with a bit more carbonation...the finish is quite sweet as well. Overall a farily easy drinking beer and wedge of lemon would so some good here in balancing out the sweet malt. Really not a bad beer, despite the skeptics. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA

Unflitered but far from living. Prototypical heffeweizen aromas with atypically high levels. roner77 (35), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 25, 2006 Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a big lasting white head. Lemon and banana aroma. Tastes like a piece of banana bread with a slice of lemon. Mild with no real aftertaste. I’m sure I am biased because it comes from my old home state but I like it. Not exciting or terribly complex but a decent drink.
