Aug 8, 2005 Since I have absolutely NOTHING positive to say about this completely LAME attempt here, made in whatis or was a predominately Czech and GErman community, thus making it all the more of a shame, I’ll make this comment: I worked for a guy that attempted for years to get the brewery to make a weiss beer. He was told NO. And now this. Sad times ten.

Aug 5, 2005 I thought the smell was really bad, like armpits or something of that nature. poureda nice fluffy white head. didn’t taste like your standard hefe probably because it is unfiltered. besides the smell it wasn’t too bad.

Jul 31, 2005 12 oz bottle pours pale golden with a foamy large white head that stays quite well and laces the glass. Aroma is wheat, a touch of lemon sourness and some yeast. Flavor is wheat with a touch of lemon. On the palate this is pretty crisp and clean and light and carbonated. Nothing too earthshattering here but definitely drinkable on a hot summer day.

Jul 29, 2005 12 oz bottle: lasting white head on a cloudy golden yellow body. Very grainy wheat malt aroma w/ some hints of sulphury yeast. Clean of esters & other off aromas, and no hops. Flavor is much the same w/ just of bit of tartness, I think is from the carbonation which is fairly high. Well balanced and clean wheat malt throughout. Finish is semi sweet w/ a clean wheat aftertaste. Lighter body, higher carbonation, and rather crisp. Not overly flavorful, but a good lawnmower beer. Clean and refreshing at best, bland and boring at worst.

Jul 23, 2005 Second Shiner product I’ve tried, really enjoy the Bock, I think I like this more than the bock. Fulfilling for a hot day, or any day for that matter. One of the best wheats I’ve had.

Jul 11, 2005 Bottle: Decent citrus (mostly orange) with only a hint of banana and moderate clove presence in the aroma. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Much more banana presence in flavor than aroma. Citrus not quite as strong as banana, but close. Clove comes thru in the finish with the slightest hint of pepper. Not a great beer, but definitely underrated.
