Poured from bottle. Clear golden orange color. Aroma was non existant. Flavor was more along the lines of a light pilsner. There was nothing resembling the hefe here. Maybe a slight crisp grass flavor. Very watery. Very bland. Drain pour for me. BrianHagmeier (257), Coralville, Iowa, USA

I cant even figure out what its supposed to be. It reminds me of a homebrew I made out of a bunch of out dated and left over ingredients. It was crap to superdude1979 (61), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

While I do not think the taste of their Hefeweizen is too great, it is strong and a bit on the sour side, leaves a spice taste in my mouth long after consumption and it is hard to match this up with any food. I like Hefeweizen to start off with the spice/citrus flavour, but end smooth and subtle, this beer is the opposite, it starts off crisp, and ends strong. As for the person who wrote that it dilutes, well I let mine sit for 5 minutes to see if it would happen, it did not. Strangebrewer (223), Chatham, Ontario, Canada
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 27, 2009 bottle. Poured cloudy pale straw coloured with lot’s of yeast sediment. Initial large fluffy white head settles but lasts. Candied citrus aroma. Dry, flat mouthfeel with little corriander flavour. WVHouseofBeer (390), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 22, 2009 Appearance looked good inside the bottle with the usual golden haze, however after pouring the cloudiness disappeared and I could actually see through my glass...disappointing. Up to here it is somewhat on par but now it goes way down hill. The flavor at first is refreshing with notes of lemons and citrus throughout. However as I drank more it became far too sour and acidic for my liking; this was like drinking ultra sweet lemonade. mihalis (21), Irving, Texas, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 17, 2009 Pours cloudy pale yellow, typical of the style. Nose of orange peel and hops. Lots of carbonation. The citrus is a little too much for my taste, and it’s a little more bitter than one would expect from a Hefeweizen. Note quite sure what they were going for here, but definitely not my favorite Shiner. I’d take the "100 Commemorator" (a Bock) over this. ben4321 (1041), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Slightly tart, but overall an average and inoffensive Hefe option, it’s macro-wheat beer in its qualities... JediMindTricks (240), Hampton, Virginia, USA
