Okay...appearance: deep, murky orange hue, bright lemony yellow at bottom, with a fine fluffy white head resting atop.
Aroma: spicy and citric, sharp, lively, very promising.
Taste: beautiful play on the tongue on first meeting the lips, tasty, tingly, but light and mellow thereafter. Citric flavor remains throughout, and wheaten texture is appreciated, though the body feels light, and the finish is swift.
Starts out rather nicely, with good flavor, well-held citric taste and a spicy kick, reminding me of some fine Bavarians, but all in all, rounds out to be a nice, average, very drinkable and refreshing American weizen.

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Sep 8, 2004 Pours a murky (just following directions) orange amber color with plenty of flotilla and particulates swimming around the glass. A good presence of effervescence and an off-white head with poor retention. Aroma is like Lemon Pledge with a hint of fruity esters. A kind of perfumed synthetic smell rather than a natural one. Mouthfeel is effervescent with a tart finish. Flavor is tart with some sweetness in the background.
IMHO: Not impressive.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 3, 2004 Light head, pale yellow. Citrus smell with a hint of soap. Taste isn’t great for a hefe, a bit watered down I’d say. This would be like a hefe light. Much better beers available in this style, and from Shiner. DerBiermeister (524), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2004 The aroma of this one is one of yeast and citrus. The head is small and does not last long. The flavour is thin and lemony, acidic with perhaps a touch of hops? The palate overall is kind of lacking, but still this is a decent Hefeweizen. My overall impression is favourable, but not overwhelmingly so. I definitely prefer it to Shiner Bock though. richbeir (15), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 30, 2004 Yellowish in color, slightly cloudy, with a light head. Has clean, smooth taste, with a tinge of citrus after taste. Not much hop flavor to speak of. Basicly a diluted version traditional hefe-weizen. Built to suit the masses. But overall very drinkable. eboats (901), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 10, 2004 Cloudy yellow with little head. Does not have a classic hefe aroma. Smells like hops, citrus, and orange. A decent hop taste, but the true hefe taste is not present. You can barely taste much other than some hops and a grassy aftertaste. I would not buy this again. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 3, 2004 Hazy golden color. Nothing resembling the aroma of a true hefe, bananas, cloves the bubblegum. Light to medium body, wheat flavor is there but the flavor is lacking, very thin. Pale grassy lingering aftertaste. Best part of the beer is the label. drewdogg (62), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2004 A solid, albeit unspectacular, hefeweizen. Nice wheat flavor and just the right amount of head. If you hate hefeweizens then you probably will not like this one, but is a good middle of the road wheat beer for hefe fans.
