Not much creativity there. I find they are only good on hot summer days. This one fits that category exactly. JMerritt (1327), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Bottled, poured into a weizen glass. Straw colored, mostly clear with a large white head that is partially-to-mostly diminishing. Lots of bubbles permeate from the bottom of the glass. Semi-sour nose, with some sweet wheat, straw, and lemon peel. Heavily grainy flavor, some citric (lemon) notes, cardboard and black pepper spice. Metallic, sour finish with mildewy grass and stale bread flavors. Quite heavily carbonated (which normally I’d dislike), but in this it helps to cleanse the palate of some dreadful flavors. Overall, a poor hefe. Cavie (1515), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Feb 5, 2009 Stands close to the hefe style. Has the sour aftertaste of a Bavarian wheat. The taste and everything up until then are alright. GranvilleTim (531), Granville, Illinois, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 31, 2009 I like this ale as an alternative to my normal Hefe. It has a refreshing citrusy taste and is very smooth. It is a great summer time ale, but really good anytime.

Good head retention and lacing. Very tart yeasty aroma. Taste is fairly bland, but does have notes of wheat and spice. Thin bodied, nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 21, 2009 12 oz bottle. Poured a hazy yellow with a two finger sparse white head. The aroma was wheat and lemons, with a bit of spice. The flavor was malty with a strong citrus finish. Overall I thought this was a fair beer. My favorite from Shiner.
