| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 16, 2006 Bottle. Pours a deep golden color. Lots of carbonation, little head. Taste is fresh and sharp. Lots of tiny bubbles in your mouth. Finish is creamy and smooth. Minimal hops, no aftertaste. Excellent kolsch. This bottle seemed more fresh than the last Kolsch I had from the local brew pub from the tap. I could drink this all day and not even think twice. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Mar 12, 2006 Bottle... Clear, yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Spicy, earthy nose with a faint note of sweat. The flavor is perfectly balanced, but thin with very little malt or hop character. Light to medium-bodied and very lightly creamy with fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish with just a sprinkle of sea salt. ElJefe (553), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 12, 2006 Pours a pale golden color with a thin white head. Aroma of rotting apples. Flavor is sweet, with very moderate spicy hops presense. Way too sweet, and lacking the crisp hoppy finish of a good Kolschbier. Light, effevescent body. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2006 This beer is a German kolsh beer by style, which is a light golden colored, very delicate ale brewed in the city of Cologne, Germany. Shiner Kolsch is a nice example of the style, brewed with 17% wheat malt for that tart and refreshing edge. I was very fortunate to have a beer connection of mine in the industry, hook me up with some samples of this beer and other Shiner seasonals. Honestly, I was shocked at how good this beer was.
Shiner Kolsch pours to a beautiful, very bright, pale golden color with a tight white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose is wonderful, with light jammy touches of estery fruit aroma paired with crisp pale malt aromas, and slight grassy hop aroma. The palate is crisp and clean, with delicate pale malt flavor paired with light touches of jammy fruit. The body on this beer is so refreshing and round, you could really drink a lot of this beer. Shiner Kolsch finishes with more light malty and fruity flavors, then ends with just a touch of grassy hop bitterness to balance this out.

| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Dec 31, 2005 Piss colored with what should have been a fizzy white head. Aroma is skunk, fart, and rubber. Suprisingly the flavor is sweet, and has somewhat of a body albeit not much of one. Finishes dry. Illini08 (528), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
