Commercial Description:
Effervescent, this summer brew is fashioned after the Kolsch biers that originated in Cologne, Germany, in the 1800s. Hallertau, Magnum, and Mount Hood hops combine for an especially clean, crisp finish.

12oz. Bottle: Faint aroma is slightly bitter. Smells of hops. Poured golden in color with a small white head that diminished very quickly. No lacing. Clear. Sparkling. Looks watery and thin. Flavor is moderately bitter and not sweet at all. Tastes of hops and a little clove. Light to medium body. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Corn finish. Overall, drinkable but not good.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent typically carbonated yellow-orange colored body. The aroma was malty and nutty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The strange flavor contained notes of malt and hops. Not one that I would buy again. Different and not to my liking.

Pours clear gold into the glass with a thin white head that fizzles out quickly. It’s very light and refreshing and somewhat similar to the other kolsch’s I’ve tried. There’s nothing amazing about this beer, but then again there isn’t much amazing about the style in my opinion. It’s definately refreshing though.

bottle - Pours clear gold with a thin head. The aroma was mild hops. The flavor was light malts with fairly well balanced mild hop tones. Smooth and light bodied, it goes down easy but just doesn’t have enough there to be good.

Bottle. White small smooth fizzy head that mostly diminished, no lacing, minimal carbonation, transparent, and a yellow gold hue. Nose was some malt, hops and somewhat crisp. Flavor was some malt, hoppy but not overly done, somewhat dry and crisp. Mouthfeel was smooth and dry. Light-medium body. Not impressed with this one. There are better ones out there for this style.

Pours a clear gold color with a small amount of froathy white head and lots of cascading bubbles. I didn’t think the aroma was half bad: sweet and a bit of a floral hoppiness to it. Flavor is very light and smooth, a tad sweet and floral but not too much so. Overall, pretty standard kolsch. Enjoyed it.
