Crisp, hoppy aroma, with hinta of sweetness. thin mouthful with good carbonation. Decent enough flavor with hints of what I think was corn, but very little hops flavor. Not bad for fifteen bucks a case, but not very noteworthy by any other yardstick. dkoonce (889), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2006 Bottle. Pours a light gold, with a thick white head that lasts for a few minutes. The aroma is a fruity malt, almost raspberries. Very light body, with the same fruitiness I detected in the aroma. The finish is short and a bit sweet. Not what I expected and not that bad. Could use more hops. b33r (363), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2006 Bright golden, with little head. Hardly any aroma. Strong crisp taste, fruity and clean. Carbonation pinchy at first, but finished very flat. SudsMcDuff (1703), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 16, 2006 I had the summer stock afew years ago when i was but just a young man and it like me. So, when her name got changed i’d thought i’d give her a ring..:we met up later:... Same refreshing nature, subtle yet delightful honey smell, her head was ample..? and she still had some bitterness after all these years. God, Did I enjoy drinking down her delicous summer juices!......!?!?!
...but she really is just cheap and average. swanmann (309), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2006 Poured a slightly hazey, golden orange, with a smallish, off white head. Faint citrus and sweetened malt smells. Mostly balanced flavor, however very carbonated. A very mild kolsch. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 21, 2006 From a 12 oz. twist cap bottle with no freshness date.
Poured a clear bright yellowish golden with a foamy, sudsy white head that settled into a thin soapy lacing, small amount of ringed sticking.
Aromas of grainy malts with a light biscuity, lemony and floral.
Good carbonation and a crisp, smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel.
Clean tasting overall, sweet grainy maltiness, lemony with a spicy hoppiness, a bit of grassiness and a dryish grainy finish.
I don’t have a high opinion in general of Shiner’s beers, but this was better than what I was expecting, decent drinkability, quaffable, even on a cold, rainy fall day.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Pours brilliant golden w/ a short lived semi creamy froth. Aroma of farmers malt. MediUm nectAr w/ ample residual effers which are mellow. Flavors are bright, clean, and mellow w/ a lingering fruity malt character. Finish has a delayed bittering that ends up allowing the malt to pass through. A good session brew.
