| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Clear gold, with a thin and quickly disappating head. Wheaty "mashy" scent, slightly tomato-y. Effervescent on the tongue with a slight bite. Very, very slight bitterness with a thin mouthfeel. Not exactly spectacular but drinkable in a pinch. Not the greatest of the style. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 23, 2006 Poured a pale yellow with large lasting white head. Small aroma of citrus and wheat. Weak wheaty flavor with high carbonation. Mediocre cheap beer for a hot summer day. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 23, 2006 (Tap) Compared to German versions of the style, this beer has nothing. Very carbonated and rather citrusy. A little malty in the finish, but pretty boring. A poor example of the style. tjthresh (1778), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Very pale with a white head. Highly carbonated. Lots of pilsner and corn aroma. Very clean and crisp. Not something I’d ever buy, but it was hot as hell out, and this hooked me right up. Ron (1035), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 12, 2006 One bottle from WVU drop daughter off at college trip ’06’. Poured a large white head that hung around about 5 minutes. Some citrus in the aroma and flavor. Also malt and wheat in the body. It was ok. zombywoof (362), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 27, 2006 Fizzy, grassy with a little bit of tartness. OK for a hot day but nothing exciting. I thought the aroma was better than the taste because the carbo got in the way. cAPSLOCK (154), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 25, 2006 Light, fairly carbonated with a grassy/citrusy aroma. Tastes a little like a cross between a light pilsner and a light filtered wheat beer. Nothing special, but nice for the price and it’s hot here, so it works for thirst. egajdzis (3631), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 24, 2006 Poured a golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus fruits, toffee, some doughy malts, but maybe a hint of DMS in the background. Dry, doughy, more grass, with some tart citrus, and a crisp, lightly hopped finish. A bit of astringency detracts from an otherwise respectable kölsch.
