Commercial Description:
Effervescent, this summer brew is fashioned after the Kolsch biers that originated in Cologne, Germany, in the 1800s. Hallertau, Magnum, and Mount Hood hops combine for an especially clean, crisp finish.

How can you not love this beer. Easily the number one selling summer beer at my store. It is so easy to drink it’s not funny. I love it, my friends love, our customers love it.

Bottle. Pours a deep golden color. Lots of carbonation, little head. Taste is fresh and sharp. Lots of tiny bubbles in your mouth. Finish is creamy and smooth. Minimal hops, no aftertaste. Excellent kolsch. This bottle seemed more fresh than the last Kolsch I had from the local brew pub from the tap. I could drink this all day and not even think twice.

Makes for a very nice summer sipper. Nice golden pour with the expected kolsch taste. Refreshing to the end.

I love Shiner, and being a TCU alum I love the Horned Frog on the label. Unfortuantly this beer is overly wheaty and plain. Very boring beer. update 10/04 I tried this beer again over the summer. and it was much sweeter and flavorfull than I remembered. A nice complex flavor with a clean finish. I don't know if my tastes have changed or if the Summer formula is differnet this year unfortunatly This years run is over. Oh well.

Crisp, yet not wthout some heft and just enough sweetness to balance it all out ... perfect summer quaffing.

I really like this beer. Too me the after taste is metalic. It is a great hot day beer at the disc golf course. I like this better than Reg shiner.
