| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Refreshing all malt lager with little hop bite. Pours a clear golden color with a weak fizzy while head. Balanced with a slight cereal malt character. Decent but unassuming. Good BBQ beer territory here. bhensonb (4389), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Bottle from ericandersnavy (who hasn’t rated it) thanks!! Pours copper with a rapidly disappearing white head. Warm malty aroma with a hit of grassy hop. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is smoothly, caramelly with some spicey hop. Underrated. If the ABV was way up, it might be all the rage. If there were a barleywine bell curve, this could be placed on it. Off to the left quite a bit, but it suggests that sort of flavor. dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 17, 2009 A golden beer with a 1 finger head. Aroma was peppery hops. The taste was the same as the aroma & was nothing special. nhamilton (70), Cibolo, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 16, 2009 The last of the specialty six pack that had one of each. It pous to a full bodied tan head that settles quickly. Taste is somewhat different from other beers in the family. Goes down smoothly and begs for another to be consumed. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 14, 2009 When you read "hop-jacked lager" on the label it gives hope of a amber ale. But then there’s the word ’lager’ thrown in and confusion ensues. Chalky, thin bodied, sub-par beer with light bitterness and a bit of citrus in the aftertaste. I thought I was in for a one-of-a-kind experience to honor Kosmos Spoetzl and was left with a bit of a stinker of a pale lager. MaltOMeal (668), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2009 bottle. Pours orange with a thin, white head. Nose is weak of nut and grain. Taste is a little better with nut, grain grass and caramel. Mouthfeel is thin. Overall, not bad.
