Commercial Description:
“Kosmos Spoetzl knew how to brew great beer. Born in Bavaria, Kosmos’ mastery of German brewing carried him as far as Egypt before he found his way to the small Texas town of Shiner. Our proud brewery still carries his name and commitment to excellence in brewing. This full-flavored, hop-jacked lager is every bit as unique as the man himself and our way of saluting the brewmaster who started it all.”

Bottle (12oz). Shared by garthicus with me and blankboy. Clear amber, no head. Grain and tupentine aroma, sweet and harsh. Tastes like fake maple syrup aged in an old LawnBoy bag - ugh. Light, slick, still mouthfeel, sweet, with an ugly aftertaste. Tick - and NEVER again.

Everything about this beer is bringing up just one word to me, no matter what I try to think of differently to describe it: coppery. It looks coppery, it smells coppery, and God help me, it tastes coppery. I just hope coppery is a word.

Aroma of grass and bark and an odd vegetal quality to the flavor. Sweet bready malt and grass. The worse of a mediocre brand.

Pours clear gold with faint amber tint, white fizzy head.Aroma has signs of light caramel, some grain, light citrus. Flavor has some light graininess, some light caramel, faint grapefruit hop flavor is present in this beer with very faint bitter....Mouth feel is light body with high carbonation. Overall, just a small tasty little beer...easy drinking.

copper golden color. Medium to large sized thick soapy head. Nose is rising raw bread with a little bit of vinegar. Taste is honeyed grains, cereal, metal, and yeast. Semi carbonated mouthfeel and a not so great aftertaste. Blah but not horrible offensive.

Pours copper tinted amber with a 2 finger chunky beige head that has good retention. Aroma is caramel, grass, citrus, metal, straw, and a little mineral. Flavor is citrus, grass, butterscotch, cardboard, metal, caramel and a little forest like earthiness. Finish is crisp mineral notes, some citrus and herbal hops and metal. Palate is light-medium bodied with a dry feel throughout and a sharp, but not too sharp carbonation. Not bad stuff really, theres alot wrong with it but somehow it pulls together to be pretty passable overall.
