| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Bottle from ericandersnavy (who hasn’t rated it) thanks!! Pours copper with a rapidly disappearing white head. Warm malty aroma with a hit of grassy hop. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is smoothly, caramelly with some spicey hop. Underrated. If the ABV was way up, it might be all the rage. If there were a barleywine bell curve, this could be placed on it. Off to the left quite a bit, but it suggests that sort of flavor. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 15, 2009 Bottle (12oz). Shared by garthicus with me and blankboy. Clear amber, no head. Grain and tupentine aroma, sweet and harsh. Tastes like fake maple syrup aged in an old LawnBoy bag - ugh. Light, slick, still mouthfeel, sweet, with an ugly aftertaste. Tick - and NEVER again. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 21, 2009 Sampled on 4/20/2009. This premium lager pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head, with no retention or lacing. Aroma is caramel malts, some grain and something vegetal. A medium bodied lager. The malts are cereal and grainy, somewhat sweet. The hops are floral. Kind of flat and watery. Add some weird cardboard, vegetal tastes and this beer is just plain bad. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. blankboy (3214), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Aroma of cereal, light german hops, a bit of dust and a touch of DMS (cooked corn). Taste is a bit of dirt or soil, metallic copper and DMS. Bone dry mouthfeel and a metallic finish.
