They should have called it Shiner "Ever Luvin’" Light. You know, that song, from like, the 70’s or something? Where that guy sings about Shine Your Ever-lovin’ Light on me", but it sounds like "Shiner Ever Luvin’ Light on me"? I think it mentions something about a Midnight Special, too. Yep, that’s what they should’ve done. Missed a great opportunity here, Shiner. shrubber85 (2995), Wallhalben, Germany

Fairly strong barley malt flavor with a hint of sweetness. Very nice body for a light beer. An excellent light beer - blows BMC lights away. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA

Though watery, it has more body than many other light beers. It actually has an OK clean and lightly malty flavor. Finishes crisp and bland. One of the better light beers I’ve had. beerdrinker101 (56), USA

It beats your big boy watery stuff, but I would much rather have a Shiner Bock for the same price. I guess if I had to chose a light pale lager this one would be up there. Kinda’ like somebody squeezed the life out of it. If I had to drink a light, I mean if I was on a deserted island and it washed up on shore..... farbio (4), boston area, Massachusetts, USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2005 For a light beer, very good, has much of the ’shiner’ taste. Doesn’t taste like water or lose its flavor just because its a light beer, perfect for a summer day or yard work! Suprisingly amber with small white/ivory head, aroma is very rich Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA

A surprisingly attractive beer. Nose-like inhaling a nose full of dust from an old book. Taste-light grassy hops, mild XL malt, no adjunct or sweet flavors. Mild caramel and honey. Hands down the best tasting light beer I have ever had. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
