I had this bad boy at a Bar-b-q place in Houston, Texas. This is better than most regular macro plae lagers like regular Bud and MGD. Worth a try. Not anything to write home about but a really good light beer fly (1332), austin, Tejas, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Looks pretty nice. Considerably lighter in color than shiner. Aroma is weak but there, I get hints of hops, and a metallic smell. Tastes, pretty lame. Got some big maltiness and sour vinegariness. Not a fan. However if you take it for what it is, (a light version of an already mediocre beer) its really not that bad. I would take it over BMC any day. OutHouseDilemma (70), Crowley, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2005 This is my fav light beer. It actually tastes like beer is in the bottle. I havent tried it in the can... Wondering if they even sell it in the can?
If you like shiner bock and or if you like light beer that tastes like beer, I think you might enjoy this..... dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 16, 2005 This is probably Shiner’s second-best beer, behind the bock. It isn’t really offensive in any way, which is really more than can be said for most Shiners and most Lights. aenimopiate (142), The United States of Texas, Texas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 17, 2005 Much lighter in color than regular Shiner, and even though it’s a light beer, it retains enough of it’s flavor to rise above the status of swill. If you want a light beer, I’d suggest you give this one a shot if you can find it.
