The aroma really captured my interest. It smelled very woodsy, like a day at a BBQ. Drank it out of the bottle. Good gold color, doesn’t look artificial, thin head. Aroma opens up in the glass. I didn’t think that I would like anything they called "Smoked," but it wasn’t a heavy flavor. It was over a hundred degrees out, so it was refreshing. I got a little sweet, smoked wood, a little grass. Reminded me of the BBQ at this little convenience store in OKC called "Circle J’s." 24 hour BBQ. The BEST. Cobbler, ribs, brisket, corn, beans, hot link, polish dog, and white bread covered in AWESOME sauce. THAT’s what I taste in this Shiner Smokehaus. It has a great beat and I can dance to it.

smells of sweet and smoke with some grass on the nose. Pours a very hazy Yellow with some head. Very nice carbonation with a smooth finish a light to medium body. Flavor was subtle on the smoke which is why it was so good.. It was refreshing with a nice smokey twist. I really LIkes this beer.. Was it the smokiest Rauchbier I have ever had.... no.. but it was rather good for a different summer brew

A bit surprised that the ratings weren’t higher. Its not a schlenkerla smoke beer, but its a helles. Excellent smoked malt flavor in the beer., Its a great smoke beer because its one you can drink all night and not tire of it.

Pours copper/gold with a thin white head. Smells of perfume, light spice, some smoke. Tastes smoky and caramelly with some nice citrussy elements. The smoke compliments this one well.

This is one of the most beautiful pours ive seen i a long time. Its a rich light golden color with a thick, 2 inch white head that last a long time (10 minutes or more). This in of itself is satisfying. You all know how much we like head. It laces like the pourous limestone lined creeks of the hill country in Texas. The head is thick and creamy I has beautiful bubbles that keep the head strong. The nose is a little rich and malty but not overbearing. There is a decent amount of hop prescense in the aroma aswell with a little bit of earthen, smoky tones. The flavor is no doubt, of smoked malt and hops. It’s different, and quite good. Palate is as full as it can be while still being refreshing. Finish is like the taste, and the aftertaste has the mesquite smoke appeal.

I thought that this beer was a good one, though I do think it would taste better if I was outside grilling.

I have enjoyed drinking this beer all summer long. Beer pours honey golden in color with a nice egg white, totally retained head. Aroma is quite thouroughly smoky with just a bit of graininess underneath. Flavor is lightly sweet with lots of good smoke flavor. This beer is easy to drink and has a nice flavor profile. I like it.

12 oz - The Wine Source. Clear gold, creamy white head. Campfire meat and salty bacon aromas ride just a touch of underlying bread. Soft metallic smoked meat flavor rounds with a slight citric breadiness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, lightly smoked finish. I’m going with FalcoAlto here and saying this is well underrated. I have never liked anything Shiner has done, but I really enjoyed this...
