Narnad (681), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Nov 2, 2009 Pours a very clear, watery looking yellow with a very small white head. Aroma has a sweet grainy, light grassy hops and some mild apple juice notes. Flavor is pretty much a watered down sweet apple juice, light grassy hops and an overall sweet grainy flavor. Very light body, thin texture and low fine carbonation. Overall not great but for a 99 calorie beer it has a little more flavor than the others but still not enough for me to want to actually drink it on a normal schedule. JPDIPSO (4862), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Oct 6, 2009 Pale straw color with a white head. A bit too pale for my liking. Grains and hints of hops grassy hops in the aroma. Reminds me a bit of the old paste/glue years ago. Sweet flavors, perhaps a bit of grain, but more in the lines of grape and apple juice. Hints of floral hops. A light metallic feel. Finish is light with a bit of bitterness and grass. A quinine taste at times, that nearly asks for a lime. Just not right. Fratto (662), Arlington, Texas, USA Sep 17, 2009 Dear Spoetzl Brewery and the town of Shiner,
This beer is a lie.

unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Aug 9, 2009 12oz twist-off. Clear thin yellow color. Aroma of pils malt. Flavor is sharp, spicy saaz. Malted flavors of canned corn. Very clean refreshing. Light, great for the backyard. ChainGangGuy (2522), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Aug 9, 2009 Appearance: Pours a brilliantly clear body with only a touch of yellow hue to it and topped with a short-lived, white head.
Smell: Surprisingly weak nose with only the merest hints of sweetish ultra-pale malts.
Taste: Altogether light pale maltiness with a hint of grain and mild cereal sweetness. Almost no hop character or bitterness. Finishes quick and clean.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Oh, it’s definitely light, er...leicht. Sometimes I just don’t get the light beers - when it’s so far removed from beer and is more akin to water, why not just skip those pesky 99 calories and go for the water? Ah well. shp555 (1677), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 8, 2009 Pours a crystal clear faint watery yellow color with white head. Aroma is grain, vanilla, a touch of honey, and some floral hops. Flavor is some grain, some vanilla, maybe some honey, and delicate floral finish. milljam (562), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Jun 19, 2009 Man is this terrible. Skunky from the start. Lots of cereal grains present in aroma/flavor. Blah.
