Clear, oily yellow-gold with low, white, fully-diminishing head. Oily, buttery flavour offers some grainy malts and light finishing bitterness. Slick mouthfeel with low carbonation. Sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

A big buttery nose emanates from the clear light gold head-free body...diacetyl-lovers, this is for you!...somewhat crisp, lightly bitter body contains elements of sweetness, hints of lime acidity...watery, overcarbonated, sodapop (7UP or Sprite perhaps though it’s almost as bland as tonic water) finish. Another winner from this star of Maine. GonZoBeeR (2163), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2004 A solid copper color with a thick white head that it holds for some time. A sweet smell, with a slight hint of citrus. Smooth, but much more of an pale ale than a wheat. A simple beer, but one that is pulled together well, and finishes smoothly with a slight hint of lemon. envane (251), Evanston, Illinois, USA

Nice copper body with a frothy white head. A sweet malty aroma, notes of peach and honey, a nice lemon or sour orange zestyness in the finish. Good use of hops in this simplistic but refreshing brew, one of the better American wheat. thegreenrooster (1846), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Dec 19, 2003 This is a nice light tasting brew. Good dark golden color with a nice haed that lasts for a little while. The taste is more like a pale ale than a wheat. Overall a good hop flavor. Comes in a 12 pack box and each bottles label has a different genral from the Civil War.
