This was a decent dry stout. Aroma was pretty good. All coffee and roasted malt. Pour was near black but no head and no movement. Taste was a nice coffee flavor with chocolate coming out after the swallow. A light hoppy bitter aftertaste stays on the back of the tongue. Nice carbonation and perfect mouthfeel. A lot thicker than most dry stouts and more substance.

Bottle. Pours pitch black, with a huge light-caramel colored head. Some nice cotton-candy like lacing. Frothy. Aromas of roasted malts patter the nose. Caramel and oatmeal come in for back-up. Flavor is a soft roastiness, chocolate, and some very weak molasses. A thin-bodied stout. Pretty bitter mouthfeel. Big ole "meh" here.

Dark pour, tan head aromas are earthy, chocolate, flavors of burnt chocolate and coffee mouthfeel is weak, and taste is a little watery not very impressive

(bottle) Pours opaque black with thick tan head that subsides fast, leaves no lace, and later reveals a cola-like fizziness. Smells like damp stone/marble, and slightly metallic and syrupy. Mouthfeel is overly carbonated, fizzy, thin. Flavors start off with unpleasant yogurty sourness on sides of the tongue, progresses to more acidity before rounding off and finishing surprisingly well after all that with a burnt/char aftertaste. Doesn’t seem fresh and might have sat on the shelf too long.

From bottle : Pours a very very dark black color, with one of the biggest heads ive ever seen, that has great lasting power and lacing, it is big, offwhite, and rocky. Nose is very milky, and kind of a spoiled milk, im not enjoying the smell very much. Taste is roasted chocolate malt, and has a pretty good hop bite from beginning to end. Thick bodied, with a nice smooth feeling on the palate. Malty, milky aftertaste. The smell is not good, but thankfully it got a little better from there.

nice and deep malt flavor combined with a fruit character that is clean. an antagonizing hop character...medium of body and pleasant mouthfeel with a clean bburp. mild pine and citrus enhanced with nearly perfectly matched carbonation. what self respecting hop head would’nt hold it dear?
