nice and deep malt flavor combined with a fruit character that is clean. an antagonizing hop character...medium of body and pleasant mouthfeel with a clean bburp. mild pine and citrus enhanced with nearly perfectly matched carbonation. what self respecting hop head would’nt hold it dear?

Pours black with red highlights and a thick brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, earth and molasses. Thin bodied and a bit too carbonated.

Bottled. Almost opaque mahogany pour with a huge, foamy brown head. Aroma is dusty dark chocolate, earthy and some sour milk notes. Very thin body for a stout and flavour was roasted malt and slightly watery. Finished with a slight metallic bitterness. Not great.

Bottled. Poured deep garnety brown with an explosive cap of medium tan head. The aroma picked up sweet, grainy cocoa and lactose notes with light roast.. very sweet overall with some faint coffee grounds in there.. also undertones of an odd sourness. The flavor had roasty sweeter chocolates and caramel on the front half, with sour lactic notes coming in about 1/4 of the way through.. grainy coffee bitterness and vanilla across the middle and back-end.. sour lactic notes and sweet chocolate on the medium-length finish. Sourness, graininess, and high carbonation do not work well on the palate.. light-to-medium bodied. Drinkable, but not very good.

Bottle. Thanks to ekstedt. Dark reddish brown with an offwhite head. Some coffee to the nose, but the smell of this (hopefully bad) sample was totally dominated by sulphur. Taste of mineral water with some bitterness.
