| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev, tupalev’s bottle. Black pour, light brown head. Dry, tart, bitter roast aroma. Slightly pruney flavour - very dry - and as it warms, VERY roasty and oily. Slick mouthfeel, quite astringent, maybe a tad watery for a stout, long slightly tart oily roasty finish. A very good, if thin, dry stout. IrishBoy (2716), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 16, 2007 Roasted Grain Vanilla aroma. Color is Black, so dark you can hold up to a light and still not see the light bulb through it. Large, firm coffee colored head I swear you could bounce a quarter off. Dry, Smoky, coffe taste with a bit of hops then a chocolate coffee finish. Very flavorful robust beer. This is probably my favorite stout.
