Bottle. There must be something to this "dry stout" because it wasn’t exactly what I expected -- much less creamy than advertised, but with numerous complex flavors -- caramel, coffee, chocolate. Roasted flavors are not subtle. Bitterness/booziness was not as limited as I would have liked. Worth a try but wouldn’t buy again.

Deep brown body with a tan head and some floaties in there. Aroma of molasses, chocolate, cofee and dark fruits. The taste was chocolate up front with a bitter coffee flavor next and finishing with an almost distractinly bitter note.

A great stout. Had a bottle for breakfast one morning. Lots of dark colored head. Doesn’t have a very roasty flavor. Has an unfortunate oily texture and at some points the taste reminded me of crayons.

Very distinctive aroma that drew me into wanting to take the next step. Dry but a nice smooth finish.

Very roasted malt flavor with come dark roasted espresso notes and hints of dark chocolate. I also detected some nut flavor and maybe some light slight pepper aftertaste. On the thinner side of medium bodied - Very well put together, not my favorite style but still a very nice ale.

12 oz. bottle from beer of the month club. Pours jet black with thin khaki head. Nose is full of roasted malts. Solid roasty flavor with some chocolate and coffee notes. Not too shabby.

Bottle from Rob’s Beer of the Month shindiggy. black coffee color with a tan head that fades. Smells like bitter roasted malts and a little bit of newcastle funk. Not a big fan. Very thin, with a one demensional nutty flavor. Drinkable but I wont seek it out again.

Draft. Black with light brown head. Creamy taste, coffee, roasted malt, cocoa. Pretty standard stout. Nothing exceptional but not bad at all.
