Decent aroma and appearance but flavor left a lot to be desired. Perhaps an bottle well past freshness. Seemed to have good potential, I’ll give it another try.

Overall it was Ok. but a little watery and fizzy for a Stout. That being said, there were decent flavors of roasted coffe, bitterness and pepper. It was OK, but I need more alch.

its good from the beginning to the end with a lot going on throughout. the aroma and taste go together perfectly and has a finish that is just as good. i love any type of roasted flavor, and this is on top of the list! Shipyard!.....good job! as always.

12oz bottle. Pours thick and very dark brown (black) with foamy brown head, which diminishes quickly to a thin lining. Aroma is coffee, a little chocolate and detectable citrusy hops. Taste is reminicient of light coffee and bittersweet chocolate and has a nice hop presence, finishes with ra roasted / smokey flavour. Mouthfeel is somewhat light, but pleasant. Good porter.

Bottle. Poured black color with a huge fizzy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Solid roasted malt aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture. Medium roasted sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Bottled. Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma of candy sugar chocolate and coffee. Flavour is quite the same but very sourish. Watery palate. Third or fourth Shipyard for me, so far they have not impressed me at all...
