(12 oz bottle) Nice tan head, some lacing. Dark brown. Faint molasses or caramel aroma. Pleasant flavor, a little dry, little bite at the end. Pretty good.

For a stout this was damn good. Deep black color, frothy brown head that stayed till the last drop. Great chocolatey flavor, pretty hoppy, but very smooth very easy to drink, reminds me of a lot of imperial stouts i’ve had, tasted like an imperial too. Would recommend to any stout lover.

Last of Bierbauch’s shipment. Thanks again; a trade is always welcome with you! Pours dark ebony with a nice creamy head. Aroma is pure chocolate. Taste is slightly smokey with subtle chocolate and roasted malt- very nice! More like a rauchbier than Irish stout, I would say. A VERY good beer!

Pours deep dark brown almost black. Thick tan head breaks back to a film and laces the glass very well. Aroma is Chocolate and roasted coffee malts. Flavor is coffee like and an extremely buttery smooth palate. Good flavor but the body is somewhat watery for a stout. Could be remedied with a little more malt I think. Not bad flavor though. Just a little light for me for a stout.

(bottle) Pours reddish coffee-brown. Dark and opaque in glass with light brown head. Strong smell of chocolate, coffee, and molasses. Sweet flavor initially becomes bitter and is pleasently like coffee throughout. Body is surprisingly light and watery. I will certainly return to this one in the future.

Thanks to matta for the bottle! Pours black with a huge foamy tan head. Nose is lightly roasted with light coffee, sour milk, bakers chocolate and minute sweetened notes. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, cold watery coffee, and more milky notes. Body is very dry and carbonated. Has lots of lactic acid throughout. Finishes with more bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, light hops, faint sweetness and hints of chocolate milk. Pretty good!

(Bottled) Almost opaque, dark brown color with a smallish head. Very roasted-malty, slightly acidic, clean aroma with vegetable hints. Clean, roasty and slightly ashy flavor. Medium-bodied, carbonated palate with a bitter, acidic finish. A plain, but reasonably enjoyable stout.
