12 oz bottle (thanks Matta). Bottle opened with a pop. Totally over carbonated, as it took a good 5 minutes to get this in a Duvel goblet. Aromas are on the light side. Typical roasted grains and light chocolate. Taste is light bitter espresso and sweet butter. Some hops balance it out. Nothing special but worth a try.

Pours black black black with a mid-sides head that quickly dissapates. Big ol’ smoky maltiness in the aroma and in the taste. Somewhat thick mouthfeel. Pretty good, but a bit on the dense side.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) A stout reminiscent of fluid tar when poured: thick and extremely dense. A carbonation is so heavy that it’s almost impossibly to pour without spilling. Beautiful brownish head. Very, very spicy and heavy on the smoked malts. Peat, tar all the same associations as you get when drinking the more smod Scottish single malts. Not heavy in body though, neither that bitter. A beer with great personality.

Poured a dark black color with an averaged sized, light brown head. Subtle aromas of chocolate and roasted malts. Light coffee in the taste.

This beer actually feels like an american stout, semi-sweet, veryt noce combination of choclate and coffee flavors, mildly watery in texture, very drinkable

Black color. Half inch of brownish head. Mild aroma of chocolate malt. Faint smell and taste of coffee. Very smooth and easy to drink.

I have had much better stout. It smells like a dry stout with a hint of sweetness but also like burnt coffee. The bitterness is astringent and not unlike burnt coffee . There is a hint of sweetness and hops. The palate is average. This one needs some more time in dry dock.

This beer comes courtesy of beerguy101. This opened with the loudest pressure pop I’ve undoubtedly ever heard from a non-corked bottle of beer. Pressure out the ass.... it took a good 5 1/2 minutes to fully pour this into a Duvel pint glass because it simply kept overflowing. Big thick viscous dark tan head that just ceased to die and left decent lacing on my glass. Aroma is of chocolate, nuts...i mean heavy peanutty aroma and cocoa and coffee beans. The flavor is medium bodied with a long-lasting coffee and cocoa finish. Hints of chocolate and more roasty peanuts..light carbonation, mild tongue coating flavor. Dry malty and cocoa grainy finish.
