Pours like an Imperial and smells like a porter. Body is black with an inch thick tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, malt, with a little wheat and butterscotch. Kinda of nutty taste with peanut butter, hops, and chocolate. Differant to say the least.

Pours deep brown with ruby edges. Aroma of heavy malt and chocoff. Tastes malty, chocoffy, with a dry finish. Decent palate, but not very firm. A very good, but not elite, stout. I will buy this again.

Whoah! Black and chocolattey. Creamy, malty and lots of caramel overtones. The bottle I sampled gave a humongous head (four inches)! We must have shaken the bottle while watching the World Series.

(bottle) Deep black with big dark tan head. Aroma of roast malt and peat. Roast malt flavors with noticable hops in the finish.

Charcoal-like roasted malts counterpoint the extreme sweetness in the aroma. Opaque, dark brown with rocky brown-tan head that recedes slowly to nicely cover with patchwork lacing. Roastiness dominates the flavour with some chocolatiness and hints of vanilla. Body perhaps just a bit light but mouthfeel is very engaging on the tongue. Bottle (MontreAlers - October meeting).

Pours black with a ample tan head. Looks great in the glass. Taste was roasty, coffee with some sourness. Finish was slightly hoppy and slightly dry. Nothing bad about this, but nothing to set it apart either.

Eclipse black color. Small sized tannish head. Aroma is malt, chocolate, vanilla and slightly sweet. A medium to light bodied stout. Malts are coffee, chocolate and a touch of roasted malt. Slightly bitter hops. Nice balance. Perhaps a little thin tasting for a stout, more like a porter. Smooth taste. Not a great stout but still very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with a coffee flavor.

Opaque black beer with living beige head. Malty nose with tones of roasted malt and hints of coffee. Malty flavour, bisciuty with tones of coffee and low bitterness in the end. A bit acidic.
