seemed awfully light for a stout. The first impression based on apperace was that the beer would be suprisingly good. It poured a dark brown/black color with a brown head with minimal lacing. Aroma was mainly a roasted coffee note. Flavour was slightly biter with a lot of roasted notes. Mouthfeel was water and all though it was a dry beer it could have been drier.

A good dry stout along the lines of Guinness. Good mouthfeel would be better with a little less carbonation. Nice, dry finish with a lingering aftertaste.

Black body with a big tan rocky head. Exellant head retention. Coffee nose and flavor is upront, fairly dry. A bit much in the carbonation department holds this one back from being better. Not too much else. Decent session stout.

Strong aroma of coffee. Black with a tan head. One dimensional coffee flavor. Thin and highly carbonated. Bitter finish.

Very dark tasting beer and very good tasting. Tasty hops and a full aroma. Good tasting stout.

This is one of my new favorite stouts. Coffee taste is certainly present, the feel in my mouth was not as creamy as i like a stout to be, but this is for sure one of the best dry stouts i’ve had. 2nd only to cadillac mt. stout. Update 6/7/05 Had this on draft lately and my god it’s 1000 times better. This is so good! Up goes my rating!

A decent stout... although they should attempt a better version... this is the best of the many microbrews i have had

A decent attempt at an Irish Dry Stout, but somewhat forgettable. Attractive roasted malt and coffee aroma. Bubbly tan head dissapates to a thin coating quickly after pouring. Initailly, flavor is fairly assertive of coffee and dark malts, but is very short lived. Overall taste and mouthfeel seems too thin and spritzy for this style. Not very memorable.
