Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry coffee with not much else in term of discernable characteristics. Taste is also very dry with some coffee notes and limited roasted malt notes appearance. Body is about average with goo carbonation. I thought that overall this was too dry which limited the drinkability factor.

A ridiculous creamy head that took about 5 mins to subside. Dark black with a perfect hop to malt balance. Nice roasted flavors of coffee and chocolate. A bit more strength would have made this an excellent stout.

From a 22oz bottle this stout poured dark brown with a head so big it took me ten minutes (and sipping some of the head away) to finally get a full pour out of this brew. The aroma was a nice roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. The taste was a chocolate, coffee and some bitterness but TONS of carbonation - I would have really enjoyed this Stout but for the carbonation - way, way too much of it for my tastes... I just think in this case less would have been more.

From a six pack that cost $7.99 at BevMo this poured a very dark ruby that looked almost black with an off-white head and moderate lacing. Strong nose of roasted malts, with chocolate and coffee. Rich smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is very much of roasted malts and finish is dry Consumed at 45 degrees and agan at 55 degrees. Warmer seems to enhance both the nose and flavor and it what the rating is based on.

Drinks like a sode and tastes like a pretty good stout. They pumped way too much carbon in this thing. Nice off-white almost dark chocolate head. Very nice. BIG roast taste on this one. Nice chocolate taste as well. A slight dry finish, although this could just be the carbonation. Aroma is weak, and doesn’t do the taste justice. A conundrum if you ask me. This beer has a huge taste, and a small aroma. Nice sweet flavor. I just think the carbonation takes away. I mean that roast is amazing. The chocolate is slightly there, as is the case with the coffee. Overall, a nice stout, just way too carbonated to truly enjoy.

Bottle. Pours a black body with a tan head. Hint of sweet caramel malt, unrefined sugars and some light coffee bitterness. Hints of roasted malt. Thin body.

pours dark black with aroma of chocolate and coffee. malt sweetness and coffee upfront and finishes with a note of chocolate. stout when fresh is great but deteriorates with age. drink as fresh as you can for best flavors

12oz bottle. I’m glad rustyham only paid $4. I got gouged for $6 over at Abraxas. Dark brown pour with massive foam head. Slightly sour roast chocolatey aroma. Astringent, chalky, some vinegar. and overall just a boring stout-ish beer. Bad side of average.
