Deep, dark appearance with mocha aroma. Nice malty flavor that is a little reserved.

12-oz bottle. Served very cold. Aroma not very pronounced. Light coffee, biscuit and licorice. Poured very black with a one-finger tan head that dissipated quickly. Little or no lacing. Taste is slightly sour, then the sourness sets in and gradually gives way to a pungent bitterness. The bitterness is more like a lemon peel bitterness, though. Medium light body that left the mouth clean but the taste finished long after the mouthfeel recovered. Not a stout I would drink again.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma of toffee, chocolate and a faint roasted note. Chocolate and burnt ashy flavour. Very one-dimensional.

Bottle @ J.C.G. Pours black with a small off beige head. Nose is roast, cocoa and coffee. A bit ashy and roasted flavor with cocoa and caramel. Medium and smooth. Pleasant drink.

Very dark and decent head and aromas. It’s just missing some alcohol and flavor.

12oz bottle, pours a dark opaque brown color with quickly fading brown head. Looks very appetizing, high carbonation present. Aroma is pretty typical of a dry stout, with some roasty chocolate, nothing too complex. Taste is malty and bitter. Palate is dry as expected, sits well on the palate and is soothing as it goes down the throat. Average dry stout.

Pours a deep dark brown, not quite black. Head is creamy & coffee colored with very little retention. Lacing is impressive though. Java nose indicative of roasted malt. Bitter, coffee, burnt toast are predominant. Decent body. dry with pleasant bitter malt finish. Solid.

Large bottle. This one might indeed be closer to a cola than a stout. Pours jet black with very little head. Found it to be on the thin side though it was pretty tasty, just not as good as alot of others in this style.
