Commercial Description:
The complexity of this limited edition brew comes from the interplay between the roasted nutty undertones of Crystal, Chocolate and Black malts and the sweetness of orange blossom honey. Balance is achieved by the addition of Warrior and Tettnang hops. Ample body and smooth mouth feel enhance drinkabilty. Don't get stung and miss this one! 6.25% alcohol by volume.

12 oz bottle thanks to Dickinsonbeer. Pours a deep dark brown with a thin light beige head. Musty aroma of coccoa, licorice and slight alcohol. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Flavor of chocolate malt and a slight sweetness probably from the honey despite it not being apparent in the nose. Average beer that is decent enough for a cold night.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost black, with huge beige head. Spicy, roasted, slightly fruity nose with honey, liquorice, espresso, caramel and dried fruit. A whiff of smoke maybe. Roasted, slightly smokey taste with dried fruit, liquorice, smoke, dark bitter chocolate and a decent dose of coffeeish bitterness in the finish. Starts sweet with honey notes, turns drier towards the finish. Very tasty and rather spicy. Nice beer.

Bottle. Bought @ Systembolaget, Strömstad. On pouring, there is an enormous foamy off white head - only some 1cm of liqiud even though my Guinness pintglass was filled to the rim! Otherwise... a deep mahogany brown liquid. Aroma is difficult to discern above the heavy head... letting it rest a bit. It is mildly sweet, some honey peeping through a milk chocolate and slight coffee fronterior. Medium carbonation and a nice creaminess. Flavour is sweet at first with a roasted malty edge. Then comes a hint of honey as well as chocolate as well as an okay hoppyness. Refreshing, not too sweet and quite well-rounded.

Bottle. Dark brown with a fierce, light brown head that almost disappeared. Intense coffee and chocolate aroma. Chocolate, vanilla and coffee flavours with just a hint of honey towards the finish. Fluffy texture, some alcohol. A nice surprice.

Bottle. Deep mahogany color with tan head. Sweet aroma with hints of chocolate and roasted malts. Dry mild coffee taste. Aggressive on the palate reduces drinking pleasure and overall rating

Nice! Fine porter with cocoa and roasted malt, and the honey is not too intrusive. A bit too sweet in the finish, perhaps.
