Commercial Description:
The complexity of this limited edition brew comes from the interplay between the roasted nutty undertones of Crystal, Chocolate and Black malts and the sweetness of orange blossom honey. Balance is achieved by the addition of Warrior and Tettnang hops. Ample body and smooth mouth feel enhance drinkabilty. Don't get stung and miss this one! 6.25% alcohol by volume.

Black color; huge head. Artificial aroma; honey, vanilla, sweet wood; not lasting. Dry caramel taste, light roasted malt. Too dry at the end, and too much roasted malt for me.
To be drunk alone, it’s not my kind; but it’s not bad overall, and it’s better to pair with food, which soften its corners.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Murky reddish brown with a medium beige head. Roasted and toffeish malt aroma with notes of coffee and citric hops, but with no honey discernible. Medium bodied with decent mouthfeel. Quite dry and bitter for a porter.

Bottle:Brown colour, with a nice creamy head. Flavor is coffee, dark chocolate and a nice bitter nose in the end. Nice balance. Flavor is exactly the same, with a nice smourth mouth feeling, medium body and a nice medium finish. Nice and easy drinky Porter!

In the bottle from HyVee CB. Pours black with mahogany highlites. Has a thick dense beige head. Presents the aroma of a freshly baking chocolate cake. Big honey finish to the nose. The flavor is a big chocolate malted lactose milk sugar surprise. The honey flavor becomes dominant as the beer warms. There’s a mild coffee roastedness on the tongue during the mid-palate. This is a thick and delightful brew. I’d certainly drink this again. Perhaps I am rediscovering my love of porters?

12 oz bottle, Spiritus Fermenti, Providence RI. Pours a clear ruby tinged brown body under a two finger fizzy light brown head. Light visible carbonation. The nose is a mixture of honey and diacetyl with a very light chocolate malt and a light cola note. The flavor is very heavy on the honey with some caramel notes. Minimal amounts of Porter showing through. Mouthfeel is thinnish with lots of sticky cloying risidual sugars, moderate carbonation. Overall, this was pretty much a loser. Too much honey and not enough Porter.

in bottle. chocolate and roasted nose. very dark opaque brown in color, with a khaki head. tastes like fair trade hot chocolate, with the honey providing a mellow sweetness the lingers. quite delicious; enough to make one vow to only drink porters.

black with a large creamy tan/brown head. chocolate, caramel, roasted aroma with a definite touch of honey. flavor is of bitter dark chocolate, caramel, honey, hint of alcohol and red wine. honey seems to bring out the flavor of the alcohol more even though this one isn’t that boozy.
