Even hop/malt flavor balance, mostly caramel flavor and non-assertive hop bitterness. Well carbonated. Clean finish. Average. dwyerpg (2529), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 17, 2006 Has a pretty good smell. A very thin pale ale, part of why I don’t like the English version too much. The flavor is pretty weak and a little metallic. Not so good. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 14, 2006 Caramel, butterscotch, citrus and pine greet the nose. Clear golden body topped by a low white head that recedes to cover. Flavour is as aroma suggests with fair bitterness and some light esters. Not very exciting but not bad. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Pretty middle of the road but drinkable. Sampled at Mondial 2006. WISEGUY572 (1245), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 12, 2006 What an odd beer. This one turned into lambic. Nose of yeast and rot, taste of sour citrus, yeast, and malt, with some floral overtones. Definitely the most complex of the Shipyards, and actually quite interesting, but I don’t think it was meant to turn into a lambic! Poours a beautiful gold with visible carbonation and a huge frothy head that slowly reduces, leaving great lacing. I have to downgrade the flavor because it not a pale ale but an accidental lambic. Even has typical lambic astringent mouth. I don’t think my bottle was a one-off accident ... look at the review from STEPHENDR a couple down from mine. jrmac (213), USA

Aromas of carmel, bread, light citrus and some hints of pine. Palate was light bodied. Flavors of carmel, straw and light lemon with a crisp lightly bitter finish. Naven (869), Poway, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 26, 2006 Weak, weak, weak. Im actually suprised that this beer is rated as high as it is. No real aroma, color or flavors here. Pretty much a boring, lightly hopped seltzer water with some coloring added. Dear hop heads.....avoid this one like the plague.
