Nose is sweet and hoppy with some caramel malts; Light amber color with a small off-white head; flavor of hops, caramel malts, and a nice hop finish. There is a tiny diacetyl hint in the background, but not enough to affect the flavor.

Nice. Rich and chewy. Has the freshness of spring and the thoughtfulness of autum. Just enough of everything -- malts, hop, even attitude.

Pours a nice golden amber with a foamy white to off white head. Aroma is just great, mostly floral and piney notes very hoppy smelling. The taste backs up the scent quite well also. No bad tastes anywhere in this beer, just a good pale in an almost West Coast fashion.

Bottle. Pours golden with medium white head. Aroma is sweet, slightly hoppy. Flavor is overly sweet, slightly malty, bit thin in finish. Hmmm, tastes like all of the other shipyard beers I’ve had.

Me like. Not the overpowering hopfest that runs around the country (not that there is anything wrong with that), but a restrained hoppiness that one would expect from an english pale. Well done.

Bu au Mondial de la Bière 06. Dorée foncée, pas de collet. Arome d’houblon plaisant. Goût de malte simple mais bon.

Good sized head. Bright white in color. Lingers for a while with light carbonation. Nice aroma vanilla, candy, little hops and some light biscuit malts. Color is a bright dark orange. Crisp and slightly dry flavor with more vanilla and soft malts up front then the hops take over. Nice bitterness appears and lasts through the finish. Little more biscuits and a touch of sweetness for balance. Nice lingering bitterness at the finish and again a little dry. This is a very good and moderately hopped pale ale.

A deep bronze with a dissipating head. Moderate carbonation. The aroma reminds me of maple leafs and honey. Crisp bitterness follows a slightly sticky honey and carmael. Slightly roasted malt. A fine blend of the English meets the coast of Maine.
