BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA Mar 25, 2006 Updated: Jan 16, 200722oz bomber from Tiger Town. Amber-red translucent body with about a quarter inch of off-white head that leaves a fair bit of lacing. Aroma is slightly weaker than expected, and consists of hops with hints of yeast and diacetyl. Tastes caramelly and biscuity with some yeast and hops to support. Dry finish. On the lighter side of medium-bodied. A pretty good pale ale. Definitely one of their better offerings, and something I could see myself drinking on a regular basis. VTHopHead (895), Barre, Vermont, USA Mar 18, 2006 Bomber - Pours a darkish amber in color with a whitish head that faded to a faint white rim aroud the glass. Aroma is of flowery and a bit spicy hops. Flavor is quite hoppy and nicely bitter. Finish is slightly bitter and fairly lasting. A good pale ale and one worth repeating... mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA Mar 9, 2006 Bottled. Pours a medium amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma is malty and a little spicy. Malt and a slight hop bitterness up front. Sort of a plastic flavor going on. Seems a little watered down. madsberg (4873), Søborg, Denmark Feb 12, 2006 Bottled: Orange farvet. Er let tåget. Har et lyst beige skum, med en høj tæthed. Holder godt. Medium karbonering. Citrus, let frugt and let caramel i aromaen. Smagen er let humlet og blomstret. Har noget sødme og frugtighed. Er lidt bitter i enden. Tør og medium fylde. God balance. Tak til Ungstrup for denne øl fra hans overskudslager. nick76 (2636), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 19, 2006 The aroma has a nice hops to malt balance. The appearance is amber with a large head. The flavor is also balanced. The hops give it a mild bitterness that goes well with the slightly sweet malts and a hint of spice. The palate is thin. Nice pale ale. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Jan 19, 2006 Looks and pours great, The aroma is hoppy with caramel notes. The taste seems a little tart, with medium malt and high hops. Tasty porterhouse (1148), Alna, Maine, USA Jan 15, 2006 (22 oz. bottle) Pours a light amber with a biscuit head. Weak malt aroma. Pretty good lacing. Mouthfeel OK, slightly thin. Taste: mostly bitter, kind of sharp, finishes a little yeasty. Passable, on the bitter side, not much else for flavor. Fine bottle depicting Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, 20th Maine Volunteer Regiment, USA. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 14, 2006 Not a good represenation of a pale ale, matly and sweet, lacking hops. It reminds me a lot of the taste of a brown ale. It look really good when I poured it out of the bottle, a nice copper color with a large white head. it feels okay in the mouth. The finish is also malty and smells matly.
