| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 30, 2005 22 oz 2005 bottle shared with Muzzlehatch on 5/22/2005. Smells of nutty/earthy English hops, some bitterness, light caramel. Blonde with some orange tinges, clear, filtered body with a fizzy white head receding to nothing, no lacing. Flavor is lightly malty (pale/base malts), bits of grain, some minor hops bitterness, no real hops flavor. Maybe some metal on the end. Tastes a lot like water, feels like water. Forced carbonation, heavily filtered, horribly bland, not much beer left in this. Maybe some light citrus. Got the old "this beer sucks" in the notes. Light body. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 27, 2005 22 oz bottle shared with the Master of Disaster, ClarkVV at his parents’ palatial chalet in Belfast Maine. Rich, clear amber with a smallish lasting head...pleasant enough citrusy-sharp nose muted by big dollops of caramel...bland, light sweet body, little malt depth, very watery body. One of many beers on this Maine trip that struggles to find words boring enough to fit the experience of drinking it... NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Well this is one of those beers. It’s not great, but it’s REALLY good at being average. So much so that you drink it cause of it’s familarity. The sweet maltiness is just very comforting to me. Like an old girlffriend booty-call. morehops (39), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2005 I think this is the best beer made by Shipyard. It’s also the hardest one to find (for me). Has a decent amount of hops for a pale ale and has a slight bitterness, but is balanced. paul9639 (116), New Hampshire, USA
