Translucent light gold color, fast fading head and active bubble carbonation action. Aroma is leafy or grassy tone with some sweet apple that sneaks in the end. Malty flavor with some maple making a sweet brew. There is some hops but the maple malt is too much leaving this beer unbalanced. Palate is average in a good way, no unexpectedness. In summation this is an average beer from an average brewery.

Just bought this one and a few other singles at a local store with quite a few craft beers. I generally haven’t been a big fan of Shipyard so I was pleasantly surprised when I liked this one. Pours a dark golden color with a moderate head. Not much in the way of aroma but is quite flavorful. Taste consists of a little malt, floral sweetness and a nice dry hoppy bite. Good solid Pale Ale and one of the better beers I’ve sampled from this company.

22oz bottle from BevMo. Clear amber body with a rigid tan head. It seems "glued" to the beer and is leaving no lace as I swirl it around the glass. Aroma is slightly nutty and malty with light caramel notes and spicy hops. Taste leans heavily on the hops and backed up with lighter caramel, some earthy notes, dried nuts, and toasty malts. Body is medium and mildly carbonated. Pleasant feel on the palate. Finishes with spicy hops, light sweet maltiness, caramel, and dried nuts. My favorite beer from Shipyard by far!

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Clear copper with nice head and lace. Honey sweet aroma with mild lemon and soap, very much like a pale lager. Medium honey sweetness with mild toastiness and slight apricot fruitness. Very mild bitterness. Lingering sweet finish. Medium-light body and medium-low carbo. Tastes like a well-made and very fresh. But tastes more like a pale lager than a pale ale. Lacks the fruity spicy bitterness of an ale. As it warms up, though, it gains a lot more ale-like character, bitterness and complexity. Pretty good, but definitely let it warm up.

On draft at Oldsmar Tap House. Poured a murky mango color. Very thick, creamy white head, and very creamy lacing. Malty corn aromas, with a slight hop profile. Definitely an English ale. Slight acidic hop undertones, big malty body, some citrus. Decent flavor. Fully body, quite drinkable. Watery finish. Enjoyable.

22oz Bomber with no date, poured into a pint glass. It pours a clear burnt yellow with a nice size head. There is mild carbonation action after the initial pour. Floral sweetness on the nose with a faint hint of hops. Something else there that I can’t place my finger on. The flavors are quick to the palate and leave a nice dry finish. Bitters from the hops dominate. I was surprised that this was only 4.9 ABV as it was almost like the bitterness was trying to hide the alcohol. It’s a medium to light bodied ale with moderate carbonation. A bit bitter for my liking, otherwise I’d call it a session. Definitely worth a try. I’d pair it with with anything grilled on a summer day.
