| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 9, 2006 Bottled. Pours a medium amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma is malty and a little spicy. Malt and a slight hop bitterness up front. Sort of a plastic flavor going on. Seems a little watered down. cbkschubert (1974), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 5, 2008 22oz bottle from BevMo. Clear amber body with a rigid tan head. It seems "glued" to the beer and is leaving no lace as I swirl it around the glass. Aroma is slightly nutty and malty with light caramel notes and spicy hops. Taste leans heavily on the hops and backed up with lighter caramel, some earthy notes, dried nuts, and toasty malts. Body is medium and mildly carbonated. Pleasant feel on the palate. Finishes with spicy hops, light sweet maltiness, caramel, and dried nuts. My favorite beer from Shipyard by far! BillKismet (1938), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 16, 2005 Clear coppery hue, modest head formation. Creamy toffee aroma, toasty malt, mild fruity hop spice. Hoppy, citrussy, spicy palate, plenty of bite especially in the finish. Toasted, mildly biscuity malt. Pretty much in the English pale ale mold.
