| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Light and coppery in the glass. Lots of aroma -- floral, herbal, hopcit. No real malt backing to the beer keeps the hops front and center, but the beer and the hops lack richness and depth. malrubius (1002), Valley Stream, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 27, 2008 12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Clear copper with nice head and lace. Honey sweet aroma with mild lemon and soap, very much like a pale lager. Medium honey sweetness with mild toastiness and slight apricot fruitness. Very mild bitterness. Lingering sweet finish. Medium-light body and medium-low carbo. Tastes like a well-made and very fresh. But tastes more like a pale lager than a pale ale. Lacks the fruity spicy bitterness of an ale. As it warms up, though, it gains a lot more ale-like character, bitterness and complexity. Pretty good, but definitely let it warm up. FoolishMortal (965), San Diego, California, USA

Caramel and 2 row maltiness in the flavor, with some butteriness in the finish. Mouthfeel is light medium. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA

Certainly not entirely worthy of Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain himself. From the bottle, pours nice, and the flavor is well balanced but without much distinction.
