22oz bomber from Tiger Town. Amber-red translucent body with about a quarter inch of off-white head that leaves a fair bit of lacing. Aroma is slightly weaker than expected, and consists of hops with hints of yeast and diacetyl. Tastes caramelly and biscuity with some yeast and hops to support. Dry finish. On the lighter side of medium-bodied. A pretty good pale ale. Definitely one of their better offerings, and something I could see myself drinking on a regular basis.

Light amber, slightly hazy honey color. Low to moderate carbonation. Thin head, quickly diminishing. Sweet hoppy aroma, but with a little bit of irony maltiness, which I presume will be chewy on the palate. The malts were chewy. Sweet resiny hopiness. Interesting, like its daddy was an IPA and its momma was an Amber. Well crafted.

Amber-gold color with a thin, whispy head. Attractive caramel, malty, woody aroma. Mouthfeel is a bit lean but sweet flavors of caramel, toffee, spice and nuts are well appreciated. Finishes off with a long, restrained hoppy bitterness. A well done Brit-style Pale Ale.

Bomber. $2.49 at Broudy’s. Pours orange-amber with a small off-white head that doesn’t last long. Malty aroma. Flavor is sort of a malt bomb with English hops. A bit of resinous puckering astringency. Interesting hop flavor buried in the malt. Notes of caramel and butterscotch. Slightly crisp on the finish. I liked it, found it drinkable and enjoyable.

Pours a golden yellow with a thick off white head that retains pretty well. Traces of yeast sediment in the beer which gives it a low rating and the description does not read unfiltered. Smell is very weak and is pretty indicative of the weak hops used to make it. On one hand it is low in hops but it is smooth in malts and taste.

12 oz bottle consumed at fridge temp. Golden color w/ amber hue. Small white head w/o much lace at all. Light watery mouthfeel. This is a pretty average brew. It neither offends or inspires. Mild hop flavor, maybe some citrus notes in there somewhere. Gets fairly boring as it warms. Mild bitter aftertaste. Might be a good lawnmower beer.

Pours amber/light brown with almost no head. Stale hoppy aroma with a taste of the same. Similar to SNPA, in my opinion. Some creamy aspects sneak in here and there. Well made stuff,

This has to be the best label in the entire Shipyard line. (for those of you that also collect) Besides that, the beer is rich in color, depth, and body. I’m not talking dark, but that great burnished copper that’s heralding a beer you can really sink your teeth into...so to speak. Malty, with that tangy bite of american hops on the way down. There’s a slight note of fruit in between, as is common with better pale ales. Good stuff. It’s worth it if you can find a 12-pack containing it.
