Has a pretty good smell. A very thin pale ale, part of why I don’t like the English version too much. The flavor is pretty weak and a little metallic. Not so good.

Bottle shared with tupalev, HogTownHarry, blankboy and jerc - tupalev’s bottle. Light amber colour. Aroma is grainy, with faint hops. Flavour is pretty much the same - mild grainy malt, faint hops in the finish. Not awful, just... there.

Clear golden coloured body with an orange tint and a thinnish off-white head with some rather larger bubbles rising from the bottom and sides. Aroma of fresh hops, grapefruits, pine, alcohol and strong metal. Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppiness with some astringent qualities following soon behind with a cardboardie malt and chunky nuttiness at the end. Aftertaste shows more malt than hops, but the grapefruit and citrus still ride high. Overall, a fairly strong and overly powering pale, more of an APA than an EPA to me...worth a shot if you like either of the styles, but there are far superior beers in the area that should be sampled first. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 12-July-2008, sampled about a month later on 04-August-2008.

12oz bottle pours amber with a pretty nice fluffy white head that has the aromas of toffee, caramel, and slight orange. Flavor is toffee, caramel, orange, and a little grapefruit. Palate is light crisp and clean. Slightly sweet at the finish.

Fresh, lacked any real head. A decent ale.

Pours with a frothy, initially three-finger thick, light tan colored head that sits atop lightly hazy, light amber tinged, copper colored beer. Aromas of toasty malt, caramel, green apples, green herbs and a slight lemon zest aromatic are all noticeable.

Sharp with an herbaceous bitterness that, while somewhat light, lingers from beginning to end. The hop notes here are sort of green, almost menthol like and have a grassy / hay like edge to them. Touches of green apple and perhaps some pear-like notes make up the fruit notes found in this beer. This beer is quite strange, it seems a bit too unbalanced as the hop notes are really sharp and green. Not a bad beer, it just seems a bit out of whack.

Bottle. Clear amble with a medium head. Very toffeeish and caramelly malt character, and notes of pine and citrus from the hops. A bit watery and thin. Bitter finish.
